Clear skies are the main weather highlight late this morning as temperatures cool back to seasonable and daily afternoon onshore breezes. Afternoon highs will generally be in the 90s outside of the northern Sacramento Valley where near or at triple digit highs remain possible. Onshore flow each day will see gusts up to 15-25 mph, strongest over the Delta before weakening overnight.
There is still some uncertainty on where exactly the ridging to the east and the troughing to the west will settle themselves, impacting final chances on the push of moisture and any thunderstorm probabilities through early next week. Current outlooks have Sunday-Wednesday as the best chances to see mountain thunderstorms and showers with best chances south of Interstate 80 Tuesday-Wednesday.
